When dealing with a sport like boxing, there are very few sure things. In fact, one of the only sure things in boxing is that there are very few sure things. It's not like other sports, where there is always a clear cut winner, or a sure match-up in the future. And it is only those who are "inside" who can give a more clear hypothesis on what will be happening in the boxing world. For the rest of us fans, we live outside the ropes (haha, clever right? eh...). It was with that thought in mind that I decided to make a blog that is centered around what the every day, normal, non-"inside" fans are saying and thinking. Or, at least, what THIS fan is saying and thinking. And I guess that this would be a slick enough way to introduce myself, personally.
My name is Kaynan, and even though my name might be totally unoriginal, I'd like to think that maybe I make up for it with some fresh thoughts of my own. I'm 19 years old- halt! Despite the young age, I promise you old school loving, older fans who were in wheelchairs when Hagler and Hearns fought that I am a big enough addict to the sport that I will be able to cover the bases on all aspects of the sport, past present and future. As a college student, it's kinda sad/funny that boxing is my biggest addiction. But hey- hopefully that can translate into a successful blog. Possibly a shoe deal down the line, if this thing works out right. But let me not get ahead of myself: there is much for me to talk about, and much that I'd like to hear from you fellow pugilistic fans.
